First Aid AED and CPR Training
The QA Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (QCF) is a regulated and a nationally recognised CPR First Aid qualification. This has been delivered to businesses across the United Kingdom and outlines a range of First Aid knowledge and practical skills required when providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely. Learners will practice assessing and managing a casualty who needs first aid CPR and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) in emergency situations.
Every year 30,000 people in the UK have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, but the survival rate is less than 1 in 10, a cardiac arrest could cause death within minutes. If a defibrillator is used promptly, the survival rate could be increased as high as 75%. The chances of successfully using a defibrillator declines at a rate of about 10% with each minute of delay.
This fully accredited AED and CPR first aid course has been delivered to businesses throughout the UK including locations such as London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds teaching all delegates the skills needed to provide effective life support in an emergency situation, these skills are vital and applying them efficiently and effectively could be the difference between someone making a full recovery. We are the only species on the planet that have the ability to use an AED on each other or apply CPR, yet some of us still do not learn these life saving skills. A first aid training course covering CPR and AED could be the most important course you attend, allowing you to save someone’s life.
